2009 EHOA BUDGET PLANNING UNDERWAY; IDEAS WANTED by John Sherwood We will begin our 2009 budget planning process at the next EHOA meeting on Novermber 18th. We would like to solicit ideas from Estudillo Estates Homeowners Assocation (EHOA) members on how you would like us to use these funds.
In the past, beyond general operating expenses (newsletters, Website hosting, etc), we have funded programs such as Toys For Tots, senior Thanksgiving luncheon, scholarships for graduating seniors, the EHOA monument, donations to local shelters, and neighborhood beautification If there are local projects that come to mind that you would like to see the EHOA tackle, please send an email to board@estudilloestates.org, or call Johanne Dictor at 510-635-3035.
OPENINGS ON EHOA BOARD At the October meeting of the EHOA (see right for date and time), we will be holding our annual “election” for EHOA board members. This year, there are several vacancies. If you are interested in being a part of the board, you should consider becoming active this year.

UPDATE FOR CITIZIENS FOR A SAFER SAN LEANDRO The LAMP [Lights Activated by Motion Project] is making progress on the Cherry Street pilot project to install motion activated lighting. The Cherry Street area was recommended by Councilmember Michael Gregory, who provided seed money of $500. Work has been completed on pre- and post-questionnaires to follow up with residents that participate in the project. more...
ESTUDILLO HOMEOWNER COLLECTS 8,000 POUNDS OF FOOD by Nancy Pretto The Davis Street food bank, run by the Davis Street Family Resource Center, received a much-needed infusion of food on the weekend of August 2nd and 3rd. Residents of Estudillo Estates responded generously to the EHOA-sponsored food drive. Almost every block in the area donated each day of the drive. On both days volunteers collected the bags and delivered them to the food bank, located at 3081 Teagarden Street in San Leandro. According to Davis Street spokesmen, this supply will meet the requests for food for about one month. However, more help is always needed.
